Ageas France relocates to new sustainable building in La Défense

In preparing to move to Emblem Tour, a new, more modern, and sustainable office location, still within the district of La Defense, Ageas France placed environmental considerations at the very top of its agenda.

Ageas France relocates to new sustainable building in La Défense

The new location benefits also from numerous labels related to the protection of the environment and the well-being of the occupants.

The building needed to serve employees well in a way that reflects the reality of the new ways of working, considering recent telework agreements. And it needed to provide an environment which strengthened cross-functionality and interaction between business to create intelligent synergies, the backbone of customer excellence. To achieve this Ageas needed to deliver the kind of design that allowed the right teams to connect.

To ensure that every aspect of the building worked well, an internal workgroup organised several workshops to collect data on the functioning of their services, their constraints, their expectations and in particular the proximity sought with other teams, etc. All this served to establish “macro-zoning” which has been incorporated into a general guide to what needs to be considered in the future offices.

It’s fair to say that an office move is more than just moving furniture from one place to another (although in this case furniture has also been retained and restyled to fit the environment), it is about accommodating a new culture and way of working for the future. Sustainable office moves have also taken place in Portugal, Belgium, and the UK.
