AG College enlarges the talent pool

In recent years, AG has been recruiting around 150-180 Insurance Officers each year. In the context of a war for talent, that means finding potential new sources of talent and nurturing that talent for the future through less traditional recruitment channels.

For the first time, AG is offering 15 people who do not have a higher education degree, a unique and paid 6-month training and coaching programme to become an Insurance Officer in car insurance. The trainees learn on the spot and they are integrated into a team from the start. On completing the course and successfully passing a final assessment, they receive a contract at AG and they can continue to work in the team they already know. This way, potential talents get offered an opportunity to break through the diploma-bias.

Schooling the social protagonists of the future

The Escola de Impacto in Portugal, supported by the Ageas Foundation, is an education programme targeted to socially vulnerable young people. It is focused on the development of the skills needed to create innovative projects benefitting society, to improve digital skills and to become a true entrepreneur. In 2022 more than 200 people were enrolled in the programme, which aims to promote social inclusion through employability – either through the creation of their own business or via reintegration into the labour market.

Free training for future computer techies

Digitised mobility is a material priority for the Interparking business and a key-topic in the Interparking Schooling programme. But Interparking supports programmes that promote digital integration outside of the company too, partnering with Campus 19, a free coding school that aims to fill the gap in qualified personnel in the field of computer science. There is no degree requirement to access Campus 19 and more than 360 students are training there, with a 100% job guarantee.

A first step towards gaining independence

AgeSA in Turkey, in collaboration with the local municipality, is employing women in their call centre that currently find themselves living in shelters. They represent 5% of the female working force of the call centre, filling open vacancies while helping these women to learn on the job. The aim is to build the work experience needed to allow them to become financially independent
